Requestec the first to bring video chat to Android devices running Adobe AIR 2.5

London, UK, 8 September 2010. In preparation for the upcoming release of Adobe AIR 2.5 on Android, Requestec has already ported its Voice, Video and IM Chat application to Android devices suporting AIR 2.5 (beta). The new release of AIR will bring an improved set of functionality for developers, granting access to the camera and microphone of the Android device, as well as other features which has huge implications for Requestec's Zenon Platform.

All the effort gone into making the Requestec Flash client so unique and powerful on the web can now be re-used on mobile running as a native application on the Android 2.2 operating system. Once AIR 2.5 has been formally released, the application will be made available through the Android Market.

"We're extremely excited about the impending release of AIR 2.5," says Ben Weekes, Requestec's Head of Technology. "This could be a complete game changer and will see Zenon move onto Android mobiles and tablets with minimal effort, exposing exactly the same UI to Zenon functionality on web and mobile."

Adobe AIR 2.5 is due for release later in the year.
