Oct 2009: Requestec Announces Interoperability of the ZenonTel WebPhone with BroadSoft's BroadWorks Platform

ZenonTel's WebPhone is a web-based multimedia calling application which interoperates with BroadSoft's, BroadWorks VoIP application platform.

WebPhone allows service provides to offer business and residential subscribers a fully-branded voice and video calling service with no equipment to purchase or support, thus significantly reducing operational expense and enabling them to offer Skype-type services to their own customers.

The WebPhone application delivers high availability and is fully scalable. Furthermore, WebPhone includes optional features such as audio and video conferencing, Voice and Video Mail and is currently being extended to operate on mobile platforms (e.g. iPhone, Symbian, Android and Windows Mobile), allowing mobile subscribers to place voice and video calls via data or wifi connections as opposed to via carrier networks.

WebPhone is an open solution with standards-based protocols and APIs for rapid system integration with application servers, Web 2.0 applications and existing services.
