Today Requestec, in conjunction with Small Media Giant, announce the launch of Zenon, a video telephony platform. For the first time, Zenon enables audio and video calls to be made between ordinary web pages and both fixed-line and mobile telephones, without the need to download a calling application to the computer itself. Employing Adobe’s near-ubiquitous “Flash” player, Zenon can be seamlessly integrated into any website, enhancing search engines, social networks and e-commerce sites to name just a few examples. Zenon is set to revolutionise communications between the internet, fixed-line and wireless networks. Making calls to computers, landlines and mobiles from the internet is not a new concept in itself. However, communicating via the Zenon platform brings with it several advantages: The Zenon platform gives rise to numerous applications that have not been possible in the past. Now, site owners or visitors are able to embed presence-enabled widgets into existing web pages that allow them to be contacted via both voice and video calls with a single click. The potential this has for online social networking as well as more commercial internet ventures is simply vast. With the ability to divert both voice and video calls from the internet out to telephones without revealing the Zenon user’s telephone number to the caller, Zenon users are easily contactable exactly when and how they want to be. Zenon supports both SIP and H323 video telephony protocols. VOIXIO.COM is the first service to employ Zenon technology. Voixio offers advertising-funded FREE calling to any landline or mobile anywhere in the world. Log in from any web browser, access your address book and securely call your friends and family. In Voixio, advertisers sponsor calls, whilst callers are exposed to their targeted advertising. Advertising is: |
