Requestec application allows webcam operators to hold video conversation with 3G callers


April 2007: Requestec release 3G video chat and call-centre services

In response to demand, Requestec has written an application enabling 3G subscribers to hold
video conversations with operators using webcams.

Be it a revenue-generating video chat service, or an enhancement to a voice-only call-centre, this application provides for 2-way video and voice interaction via video over IP. Currently only available to 3G mobile phone users, there are plans to extend the offering so that users can also chat to the same operators via the web.

Features include:

  • web client that rings when inbound 3G call needs to be answered
  • online web stats with operator payment downloads
  • video recording & archiving (ICSTIS approved)
  • call queuing with listen in
  • multiple video short codes pointing at same service and broken out by partner
