March 2007: Requestec - approved by ICSTIS to provide audio and visual recording equipment

All providers of live interactive telephone services must have an approved recording system in place before commencing operations. Requestec have just become the first company to be approved for recording both audio and visual elements to live video calls made from 3G mobile phones.

Service providers wishing to provide live 3G video services must either develop their own storage equipment and have it approved by ICSTIS or alternatively engage with ICSTIS approved companies to provide facilities for them. At the time of writing, Requestec is the only such approved company in the UK.
